Freightliner Cascadia

In this truck driver's position is convenient, and the overview is very wide. In the sleeping cab, there are two shelves and several spacious cupboards for utensils and clothes. There is a Detroit Diesel DD15 with a 505 hp under the hood.

The interior turned out to be in the style of a prestigious limousine and everything is perfectly well thought out in the working area: the seats get a lot of adjustments with the electric drive and multi-wheel. But still, the interior remained traditional for American trucks of this class. The cabin height is 2.2 meters, and the width of the bed is 1 meter. As usual, a dozen dials are placed on the front panel including a liquid crystal display and the familiar switches. Freightliner Cascadia is equipped with 13-, 15- or 16-liter turbo diesel engines Detroit Diesel, which combine high performance with relatively low fuel costs.

2013 International Prostar

We include International Prostar to the truck comparison list because this model belongs to the comfortable series. Front of the truck is decorated with a large radiator grille made of chrome. The streamlined forms of the cabin can reduce the aerodynamic effect. The interior of the International ProStar looks calm and restrained. The front console has a bend and it’s easily readable. To the right of the driver, there is a kind of console with a radio tape recorder and coasters. Almost all American truckers spend a lot of time behind the wheel, so everything should be at hand. There is a restroom behind the driver's seat, which provides a full-fledged bed, air conditioning, and ventilation.

International ProStar is equipped with the Maxxforce 11 and 13 series engines. The trucks are equipped with both manual gearbox and Eaton automatic transmission. The steering of the heavy-duty truck International ProStar is sensible, light and informative. International ProStar is the first tractor in the US, which is optionally equipped with an ESP system.

Peterbilt 389

The impressive cabin design of the hood arrangement is emphasized by the presence of chrome parts. The design of optics, bumpers, and other elements of a hull has been changed. The technical characteristics of the new Peterbilt 389 have also improved, compared with the outdated models. Traditionally for American trucks, Peterbilt 389 has a fairly spacious sleeper cab with a full bed space.

As a driving force, the Peterbilt 389 uses the Cummins ISX 15 engine, which is 15 liters in volume. High performance along with successfully matched gear ratios of mechanical transmission make Peterbilt 389 the standard of its class. The Peterbilt 389 uses mechanical or automatic transmissions with a number of gears from 4 to 11, a braking system with a 4- or 6-channel ABS system.

Kenworth T660

The advantages of the Kenworth T660 are in aerodynamics, increased comfort, high noise insulation and ease of maintenance. In a basic package, Kenworth T660 trucks are equipped with a 15-liter Cummins EURO3 ISX engine with a capacity of 475 hp. at a maximum torque of 2000 rpm. The engine is equipped with a compression brake, has a heated water separator for fuel and Webasto pre-heating system for engine and cab.

13-speed manual gearbox Fuller with a clutch double-disk ceramic is installed on Kenworth T660. The brake system is equipped with ABS and reinforced with a Neway pneumatic suspension. The cab of the truck is equipped with a regular air conditioning and heater, and include ergonomic chairs with high backs. As standard, the cabin is equipped with two bunks.

For less experienced drivers, an automatic gearbox is recommended, which simplifies the management of the truck. International Prostar and Peterbilt 389 389 can be equipped with such one. All models provide convenience for long trips.
